Copper C101

Oxygen-free copper C101 is a high copper alloy which has approximately 99.99% purity. The electrical conductivity is also very high on account of such high purity and as such this alloy is ideal for those requiring high transmission of electric current. In performance of CNC machining, copper C101 is noted for its corrosion resistance as well as toughness. However, its gummy surface can be a problem when machining as it can destroy tools because it can be highly abrasive. In order to overcome these problems dry cutting and/or coated cutters can be employed.
